Miscellaneous Stuff
I use this page for miscellaneous stuff that I want to post on forums and chats...I can post it here
and then post a link. Most of it will be removed after a short period of time. 9-20-09...Today I would like you
to take a look at a Daily Chart of the Q's which goes back to late December. Sorry that the chart is so large but I want you
to easily see the detail. 9-7-09...Besides watching the 11 Naz 100 heavyweight components
which represent over 55% of the Index weight (ticks and sales), QQQQ, QLD, QID Time & Sales, Market Movers and Volatility
Indices below are typical charts I use in day trading QID/QLD: These are 5 min charts for QID and QLD on each day last
week...I usually use 1 min charts which means many more trading opportunities but less avg. profit per trade. Also, remember
that the indicators only show you where they ended during each 5 min. time frame so exact buy points cannot be determined
on these charts (also, on a few my lines moved a little when I copied the charts and may be one candlestick off. Here
is what we are looking for as a potential buy opportunities (indicated by the green vertical lines): CCI 20 is headed
up MACD 2,13,12 is headed up and we prefer green bars TRIX 3,2 is greater than 0 and headed up TRIX 5,2 is headed
up ADX 7 is headed up and +DI > -DI SLO STO 8,3 is headed up Slope 10 is headed up Unfortunately I cannot
recreate what the Time & Sales and Market Movers were doing at the time. Using these will reduce the number of trades but
I believe will increase your percentage of winning trades. I also avoid the first 20 to 25 mins of the trading day due to
the volatility.
